A Message from Michael
Well, first let me offer my congratulations to Matt Patrick for his win in the Massachusetts state Democratic Primary. We both worked hard, each won our hometowns, but in the end the voters of the 3rd Barnstable District came out in stronger numbers overall for him. I'll wish him well and offer help as he prepares to take on the incumbent David T. Vieira again.
I want to thank the many people from Mashpee, Falmouth and my hometown of Bourne who voted for me and supported us along the way during this campaign. We made some great friends and new connections, covered a lot of old and new neighborhoods, and really enjoyed the entire experience of the campaign. I remain grateful to all of you who helped and encouraged and believed in our race and my vision for a better Upper Cape Cod. Let's keep the dialogue going, because we can still do great things Together regardless.
Congrats to my fellow running mates in their neighboring races as well! Dylan Fernandes won the Cape & Islands state rep primary. He and my other candidate friends in that race, Jessica Lambert, Ewell Hopkins, and Mike Heylin each deserve a round of applause for their efforts. I am happy to know each one of them, and I wish each of them well in the future successes that I know will be coming their way. In the state Senate race, congrats as well to Julian Cyr! Both he and my friend Sheila Lyons ran great races as well, and I wish them every success, along with Brian Mannal (thank you for your service). And big numbers hit the board for my buddy Randy Azzato in his primary against the incumbent Barnstable County Sheriff! I'll spend time helping him out and encourage Dems from across the Cape to do the same!
So, in closing, I'll remind everyone that November is coming, and we need change. I'll be there shoulder to shoulder with many of you along the way. We still have important projects in Bourne that need our attention, and I'll continue to advocate for my hometown while we build a better Bourne.
Meanwhile, thanks to all and to All a good night! Many thanks again! Prayers for continued public service for all those called to serve. All the best, and GOTV!
